Your business runs on
sharp edges.
Ours runs on software.

Kitchen knives, salon shears, saw blades, drill bits. Ciklek picks them up, sharpens them to spec, tracks every tool and brings it back on schedule, and tells you when one should be retired before it becomes a problem.

You just run your business.

Free audit — no commitment. We bring the scanner. Takes 30–60 min.

Sharp tools.
Zero disruption.

Three steps. Your work never stops. Every tool tracked from pickup to delivery.

01

We pick up — and etch

Pick a pickup window that fits your day, between services, appointments or shifts. Your driver brings a portable QR etching machine and gives each tool a unique code engraved into the metal in about 5 seconds. No labels or stickers to fall off. New tools are registered and etched on the spot.

02

We send to the experts

Your tools go to a partner service center that specializes in them, with a work order giving the exact geometry for each one: edge angle, bevel, steel or carbide grade, grind method, tolerances. They sharpen to spec and send them back.

03

We verify and deliver

Every tool is QC-checked against its spec when it returns. Measurements logged. Photos taken. Anything outside tolerance is flagged before it gets back to your shop. Then it's back in your kitchen, chair or shop, sharp and tracked.

Every tool has a technical contract

Generic sharpening services grind everything to one standard angle. We keep a spec for each tool (edge angle, bevel, steel or carbide grade, grind method, tolerances) and send it with every batch. Your 15° Japanese gyuto comes back at 15°, your convex shears come back convex, and your Freud blade keeps its factory hook.

  • Edge, bevel & hook angle targets with ±tolerance band
  • Steel, carbide grade and coating specifications
  • Grind method (whetstone, CBN, diamond, aluminum oxide)
  • Material-removal tracking: retire before it's unsafe
  • Maximum resharpening cycles enforced automatically

Built for the people who cut

Every feature exists because a chef, stylist or shop owner told us something was broken.

Core

Permanent QR etching

Your driver carries a portable etching machine. Every tool gets a unique QR code engraved into the metal at first pickup — no labels to fall off, no stickers to fade. The code survives sharpening and lasts the life of the tool.

Core

Standing spec sheets

Edge angle, bevel, steel or carbide grade, grind method, tolerances, stored per tool. Your chef's knife and your saw blade each come back the same way every time.

Logistics

Multi-shop batch shipping

We consolidate tools from across all your locations into a single service batch. One shipment, one work order, maximum turnaround efficiency.

Logistics

Work order PDFs

A printed spec sheet ships with every batch. The service center knows exactly what to do with each tool — no calls, no guesswork.

Safety

Wear tracking

Every sharpening removes material. We track blade width, plate thickness and edge length over time and flag tools nearing their safe limit before they fail.

Safety

Retirement & cycle alerts

Max resharpening cycles enforced per model. System alerts you when a tool is due for replacement, before it fails mid-cut.

Quality

QC verification on return

Returned tools are checked against their spec before going back to your shop. Actual vs target measurements logged. Photos taken. Nothing skips QC.

Visibility

Customer portal

See every tool, every service event, every batch status in real time. Download spec sheets, service history, or retirement reports.

Billing

Automated invoicing

Invoice generated and emailed after every delivery. Itemized by tool and service type. Pay online. Syncs to QuickBooks.

Supply

Discounted tooling supply

Buy replacement tools through Ciklek at volume pricing — typically 10–20% below retail. Pre-registered before arrival.

BaaS

Blade-as-a-Service

what's at risk —
before you sign anything.

A Ciklek rep visits your business, checks every knife, shear, blade and bit, and produces a report showing exactly which tools are past their limit, which are running dull, and what that's costing you in waste, time and wear. No pitch. Just data.

200,000+ cabinet and woodworking shops in the US, each spending $15,000–$50,000/year on cutting tooling. A fragmented market served by phone-and-van operators with no software, no tracking, and no data. Ciklek is the first managed service with a full SaaS platform, per-blade spec intelligence, and a Blade-as-a-Service model that structurally prevents churn.
